Slate.com have just published an article in which they announce that a Californian judge has just sent a seething message to police who illegally target gay men in sting operations.
The police reports all began with the same boilerplate language: Citizens had complained of lewd conduct in several public bathrooms around Long Beach, California—bathrooms known as popular spots for cruising, or semi-public sex between gay men. These complaints, the reports explained, prompted the vice detail to investigate. Undercover officers entered the bathrooms in question as neutral observers and were quickly solicited for sex by gay men. Once the men exposed themselves, the officers arrested them and charged them. Over several years, the Long Beach police arrested scores of gay men this way. Or so their reports claimed.
There was one problem: The police reports were false.

Adrock81, a large majority of cruising at toilets is done by bisexuals anyway, and the article is about entrapment , lies and prejudice, all of which are illegal. Obviously you don’t understand the article or you have some self hate issues, but that’s your problem.
I side with the cops on this one. Cruising is a big issue and it’s disgusting. If you wanna fuck in public, go in a car or your backyard. Cruising parks, bathrooms etc, where other people are and even children. Queers need some morals. All kids need to see or hear, is two fags screwing each other on the shitter. Public bathrooms aren’t very clean for one thing. Gay men wouldn’t want to see or hear two straight people fucking, so why would they want to hear you? If the cops are going in and trying to entice gay men, so they can arrest them. So be it. They aren’t forcing gay men to drop their pants etc. The guys who were “trapped” could have just walked away. They chose to engage, so that’s their problem. Unless they have a gun to your head, people make their own decisions. Gay men know it’s illegal. This isn’t something new. Gay people want to be treated fairly, have the same rights and whatever else they keep whining about. What do you think cruising is doing? You’re only hurting the rest of the gay population. Those of us who are normal and don’t go fucking in nasty bathrooms. You deserve what you get. It’ll either be a cop or some hick, ready to knock your teeth out.
ADROCK81::: I think you maybe have been high on pot when writing your article. YOUR profile states you’re into Voyeurism,outdoor and restroom meets.How would you feel if you were entrapped. I agree that walking into a toilet and seeing two guys having sex is unacceptable for str8s and kids to see but if it is done discretely and precautions have been taken then i see it as not causing a problem. I have been at parties in hotels where str8s have been caught having sex in a toilet cubicle. This was met with cheers when they came out and not with them being hauled of to the cells. In my “straight days” i had sex with women in public toilets, parks, cars. The fear of being caught adds to the excitement.

Adrock81, you obviously didn’t take the time to read the article, if you had you would have read that the undercover officers were active in entrapment not passive bystanders. As for children, NONE were in any of the police reports. As to screwing on the sh*tter, no heterosexual couples were arrested even though complaints had been made.

If the “Adrock81” who posted the anti-bathroom screed is actually the same person who advertises AS “Adrock81” on Squirt, then I’d suggest he alter his profile preferences to match his rhetoric. According to his Hookup Info, he has “Restroom” as one of his “Where” locations (along with “His Place,” “Outdoors”–another favorite of police sting operations because “children,” dontcha know–and “Bathhouse”).
I’m not trying to violate any terms of service here (and I certainly don’t believe I am–if I’m incorrect, I do apologize and won’t object to this comment being removed), but I think it’s important that hypocrites be called out.

Adrock81 makes some good points. Entrapment or not, the guys chose to engage of their own free will. And yes, it’s BS for the police to entrap, and it should be stopped, but nevertheless, those gay guys did choose to engage in it. And although the thought of cruising in public is hot, and we may all have fantasies about doing it, that doesn’t mean we should. Never mind the grossness of doing it in a public bathroom, I hate to even go number one or two is some of these things, but it is still logical place where anyone could pop in, kids and all. If you’re gonna do it, be smart and have as much decency and respect as one can doing this, and choose a spot where you’re not going to reasonably subject it to some passersby.
Well good for this judge. Finally there is a precedent on the books that a good defense lawyer can go back and draw upon.
I have to agree with Adrock81. You’d think that with all the progress being made guys would stop doing things that make them look so immature and deviant. The crazy thing about Squirt is it provides law enforcement with an up-to-date database of where men are cruising so they know exactly where to patrol
I am not a US citizen … I am not even in the USA.
It seems to me that there is something bigger at work here than just the question of “entrapment” (as relevant and valid as that may be). The issue here is the constitutional guarantee of equal treatment before the law” of which alleged entrapment of one minority group is simply an example of failure to comply with the constitutional guarantee. Last year we saw the US Supreme Court rely on the constitutional guarantee of “equality before the law” to declare same-sex marriage a right of all.
How good is the US constitution? Such an old document still well and truly “kicking ass” in the 21st century 🙂
But don’t get me started on the 2nd Amendment which I think is manifestly mis-interpreted anyway.

My last incident, of my early youth, I was arrested and NOT EVEN IN THE RESTROOM!! I was approached by an undercover Vice Officer in a local Sting Operation; asked if I was interested in “playing”, as any MAN OR WOMEN IN ANY Bar or NOT EVEN, JUST ANY PUBLIC VENUE in AMERICA would consider, I told the unknown vice officer, I was heading home, and if you wanted to follow, fine, if not, I was going home anyways. NOT!! GOT A FREE GUESTROOM AT COUNTY JAIL!! This was a FREQUENT, ALL MALE STING OPERATION.
My attorney stated and confirmed by a gay friend in the County Jail’s Corrections Department, the local police SPECIFICALLY TARGET GAY/BI men. They, GAY AND BI SEXUAL MEN, are EASY PREY/TARGETS, DON’T WANT THE PUBLICITY AND HAVE THE CASH TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER EMBARRASSMENT!!
