Gay adult film actor Wilfried Knight has died, his friends in the business Matthew Rush and Chris Yosef confirmed this evening. Knight began his career as part of Lucas Entertainment and appeared in dozens of films.
Knight’s death, the details of which have not emerged, comes just weeks after his partner Jerry Enriquez committed suicide.

Knight wrote about Enriquez’s death in a lengthy, emotional blog post dated March 3:
And i was in love, and so was my partner. He let me be who i wanted to be. He did not agree with everything i was but he let me be. He gave me the best 8, almost 9 years of my life. And this amazing guy committed suicide by hanging last week, after fighting for so long for us to stay together.
RIP.

Over on Facebook, they’re saying he killed himself. I wish he had held on, but depression is very, very difficult to overcome if you think nobody can help you. The saddest part is that I can see so many people (friends in the industry to fans) who said they were so willing to listen and help him. 🙁
We’ve lost so many wonderful people already this year. I pray there won’t be any more, but I know I would be lying. 🙁

Use the link to his blog to read his wrenching tale of just wanting to marry his partner and the legal nightmare they endured and in all probability a contributing factor in both their deaths. Another sad chapter in chasing equal rights. Use this sad event to renew your part in fighting for the right for gays to marry. If it was a suicide, then it was a broken heart. I buried my ex 21 years ago and the pain and shame of HIV still haunt me. I hope it is not aids related as there were those of us who fought to make life better. While porn is cool, please do not make those of us who look to be recognized for our other, mainstream talents seem vain on this site. It is tough being gay any way you look at it. Like a Bridge Over troubled Water I Will ease your mind.

Deeply saddened by this news. I knew Wilfried as a trainer at my gym in his pre-porn career in London. He seemed like such a genuinely lovely guy, always had time for everybody and really cared that his clients achieved their goals. My favourite memory of Wilf won’t be from his films (great though they are), it will be of him leading an RPM spinning class in too-tight black shorts and a vest showing off that amazing chest.

Given there is suggestion of suicide then I have no sympathy at all and they deserve to go to the place they so desire.
Just walk around a cancer ward which many of us have experienced and witness people hanging on trying to overcome a legal and painful disease.
If will highlight how meaningless and trivial this love affair “can’t live without out you” bullshit really is.
Sorry guys but I have no sympathy for suicide when there are so many avenues for help and assistance available.

Were that we all could have the gift of precognition in cases like this, to be able to comfort and help those whose time on this earth is so tender and precarious, unbeknownst to us. sharp_9999, don’t judge a person until you walked a mile in his shoes. I don’t know the person, and still I have sympathy for his early demise. I believe no-body deserves to die lonely and in depression. I understand he lost a partner and for some people that’s just too much to bear. May he rest in peace.
And sharp_9999, as gay people we are always judged, and I simply can’t understand all the lgbt people who after all of that decide to go and pass judgment on situations that they never experienced and people they don’t know.
