The emotional roller coaster that is the short film series “There Is Something I Want To Tell You” has given us the personal real stories of Australians living with HIV. “15 minute roll in the sack” highlights the most important weapon in the battle to end HIV,  prevention.

The film brings the important and confronting stories of Michele, Nic & Jesse and how they contracted HIV. Their stories are told in aid of preventing HIV by telling their true stories.

The message from the film is clear. To help prevent HIV in Australia today, use a condom every time.  It’s just not worth it.

  1. Thanks for this presentation. A very important message do use condoms and do get tested for all STD on a regular bases.

  2. Current stats for gay men under 25 and over 45 contracting the HIV virus are appalling. Do hope the guys and companies who extol the virtues and excitement of BB get a chance to see this. Not sure many of us love condoms, but truth be told when you’re being fucked or fucking a dude, wearing one really makes very little difference. Plus when you come out of that ‘sex cloud’ (you know the one I mean!) and return to ‘real life’ after climaxing you always feel relieved you did it safely. Always. Know (and dearly love and support) guys who are +; they all lead great lives, but they are now, thanks to HIV, limited lives. The constant taking of pills (with side effects) is similar to a Type 2 Diabetes regime, they have problems with insurance, getting a mortgage or loans, travel, adoption is impossible, there’s the whole process of ‘coming out’ again, mental issues often go hand-in-hand and life expectancy is shortened. Just not worth it.
