Photographer Alan Light has been attending the Los Angeles LGBT Pride parade since the late 80’s and lucky for us, he had his camera by his side, documenting the sun-tanned, muscled-up, Reagan-hating era in vivid detail.

  1. Wow. what a difference from a decade prior, when men had body hair and facial hair and looked like men. (we won’t get into the fruity clothes styles) Suddenly, men are gone and smooth pretty boys replace them. It took ages to get gay men to not feel and act and look like women, and be proud to be men. Yet in one decade it was almost all dissolved. I’m glad the 80’s and 90’s are history… feel free to disagree.
