What was your first experience of Cruising?

I had just turned 18 and I’d learned about a couple beats near my city’s botanical gardens. What was your first experience of Cruising?

When I first began cruising, my experience was a mix of fear and excitement. I’d heard about an adult bookstore in the town next to mine and I went there one Sunday morning. I nervously looked around before entering the shop and quickly went inside and found a booth. I remember my heart racing as I went into a room and put some money into the machine and then seeing the porn light up the room. Being a 20-something twink at the time, I got a lot of attention at that bookstore. It started to become part of my routine – I’d go there every few weeks.
