I caught up with uncutboy90 – a Squirt.org member who has contributed Bobby Goes To College, one of the most visited stories in Cocktales.

You posted the first chapter of Bobby’s adventures in 2013 – had you written anything previously?

I actually majored in writing in college and I had written some stories for fun before – kind of thinking that I might try to publish them professionally but never actually getting around to it.

These were all somewhat more ‘legitimate’ stories, if that makes sense, not sexy stories – more like novels. However, The YMCA chapter of Bobby’s adventures was my first attempt at an erotic story.

Publishing it on Squirt.org was the first time that I’d published an erotic story and the first time that people read an erotic story that I’d written.

What was your initial inspiration for the story about Bobby?

I’m pretty sure the actual YMCA company would not be very pleased to hear this, but almost everything written in that original YMCA story is based on true events that happened to me when I was 18 years old.

Now, it didn’t all happen in one day and one visit the way it happens to Bobby in the story, but I did indeed get a day pass to a YMCA in the city – mostly because I wanted to be naked around lots of other naked men. I found myself wandering into a huge group circle-jerk in the steam room with at least ten other men, probably more, and I stayed in the locker room – which was fully adorned with steam, sauna, whirlpool, and wide open showers – for several hours.

I ended up returning to that Y several times over the years and having many similar adventures – I incorporated all of those adventures into the story about Bobby, which became The YMCA story.

After reader response was very positive, I then wrote the sequel – Bobby Returns To The YMCA – which is also mostly based on real life, though again heightened and exaggerated a bit for erotic effect.

As we get deeper into my stories, they become more fiction. For instance, most of Bobby Goes To College is fiction.

You’ve recently posted your 41st chapter in the story – has it been difficult to sustain the storytelling over that length of time?

It hasn’t been difficult – I simply go through periods where I don’t feel as creative. During those periods, I don’t write or post, but I never have doubts that I will return to the story and finish it.

When I’m in my creative periods, I am very productive and write every day for hours at a time. That way, I always have lots of chapters to post in a row – boom boom boom.

I have some kind of vision of how I want the story to unfold – an outline – but there are also times when the story naturally unfolded before me and I surprised myself. For example, when I started Bobby Goes To College, I knew how I wanted a few things to go but I didn’t know how everything would unfold. With my previous stories, specifically The YMCA, I had given myself a specific limit of chapters.

I don’t mean this to insult anybody, but when I was taking a look at the other Cocktales on Squirt.org, one of the things I didn’t like was that they were all so short. You get started with a story and a cock is already in somebody’s asshole or shoved down somebody’s throat – there was no pre-heating of the oven. I’m a big fan of pre-heating the oven and a big fan of sexual buildup – I think that’s the best part of the whole experience, so I decided the only way to do that would be to write stories split into several chapters.

When I got to Bobby Goes To College, I decided that I wanted to write a really epic story that would go on for as long as I felt like. Starting the story, I knew that I wanted Bobby to move in with a new roommate who was allegedly straight and that he would have a big crush on him and we would spend several chapters just letting that crush develop and building that sexual tension. I wanted to see how long that tension could build before finally being released, but I didn’t really know what would happen afterwards.

Once Bobby and Dennis finally consummated their relationship – my favorite part of the entire story – I got a mild case of writer’s block. I didn’t want to end the story yet, but I also wasn’t sure where to go now. Bobby loves his boyfriend Cornelio and I wanted them to always stay together, but I now had this new relationship going on with Bobby and Dennis, and I didn’t really want Dennis to just be reduced to something of a sexual plaything.

Even though my stories are not meant to be great literature, I do try to put in a philosophy, I try to show that being gay is a good thing and you should be proud of who you are. I also try to show through Bobby and Cornelio’s relationship that you can have an open relationship and still deeply love your partner – a relationship doesn’t have to be a constrictive, jealous type of thing.

My goal with this story was to write something more than just a series of sex scenes, but to actually have some character and some emotion and some growth, and I’m pretty proud of it.

What sort of feedback have you had from Squirt.org members who have been reading the story?

I get nice comments on all the chapters and almost every day I get at least one message from someone saying how much they enjoy my stories.

During my dry periods where I’m not writing, I often get messages asking when new chapters will be posted.

The thing I enjoy the most is how people ask questions as if Bobby or the other characters are real people.

As for feedback, on the very first chapter of The YMCA, I had Bobby watching another guy peeing in the shower and getting turned on watching it and then doing a little peeing in the shower himself – just because I, myself, enjoy watching other men peeing and I kind of thought nobody would notice or care just because it’s my own personal fetish. Based on the comments and feedback, it was clear that a number of readers like it as well, so I’ve included a lot more piss fun in various chapters of my stories.

Aside from that, I generally just follow my instincts and write what I would like to read because I figure other people would also like it.

What do you hope that guys feel when they’re reading your story about Bobby?

Well, obviously I hope they are feeling turned on – they’re erotic stories so they’re meant to be sexually stimulating.

But I’m also trying to sneak in some deeper things about gay sex and gay relationships, so I hope that these things are noticeable to the readers when they’re reading my stories – even if they are only reading them to get off.

I think that there’s a lot of shame in sex and in people’s sexuality and so my stories are meant to show people enjoying their sexuality and having fun and being proud of their sexuality.

Is this the end of Bobby’s adventures?

Well, I’m not finished writing about Bobby – Bobby will return – I’m just taking a little break now.

Bobby is my main character and I will always use him as I continue to write erotic stories – it will also be fun to watch him grow and change as he enters his 20s and matures a bit more.
