I caught up with Teddy Bear for a behind-the-scenes look at his online life.

The business of content

Having got his start in the adult entertainment market in studio, Teddy Bear is now focusing on creating content for his fan-subscription channels.

“The difference is that the challenges are now fun, because I’m in control…” when I ask about the difference between filming for a studio and filming for yourself, and the challenges that come with that.

“Being in charge of things such as promotion, branding, and filming is all extra work, but since it’s my work I actually love every second of it.”

“It allows me to use my creativity when it comes to creating content for my fans. My fans are called Brother Bears – I’m creating content for my Brother Bears.”

Heroes and inspirations

“Rebecca More…” says Teddy Bear, when I ask about who’s inspiring him in the world of adult entertainment. “I love any star that turns themselves into a whole entire brand. Rebecca is covering all bases – she has a clothing line, and creates explicit content as well as safe-for-work content.”

Grooming guide

“My beard is very coarse, so I actually have to use a horse brush to comb…” explains Teddy Bear, when I ask him for any grooming tips for us hairy guys.

“I also use a beard straightener, as well as beard oil and beard balm. I actually make my own!”

“I started making my own products because I hated how all the beard oils out there dried out too fast or left me feeling greasy. I’ve been making them for three years now, and can now share them with the world.”

“Also, interesting beauty tip – I actually shampoo and condition my body hair. It works!”

A hairy role model

“Nothing makes me happier than receiving a message from a fan telling me that they feel confident to rock their hairy back because of following me…” says Teddy Bear, when we reflect on the impact of body-image issues projected onto us all.

“It’s not about hairy versus smooth, or saying that one is better than the other. It’s about saying that there should be no shame attached to natural body types.”

“Being hairy doesn’t make you a monster. It’s more than okay to have hairy shoulders sticking out from a tank top. In fact, I think it’s sexy!”

The underwear

“Honestly, I rarely wear underwear…” says Teddy Bear, when our conversation inevitably turns to what he’s into wearing.

“Usually, I just free-ball it. But, if I do wear underwear, it’s usually boxer-briefs.”

“While I’m usually free-balling, I definitely have a preference for what I want to see on other guys – I love guys in tighty-whiteys. A guy in tighty-whiteys is so hot to me!”

The future for Teddy Bear

“Recently, I was a guest on Trixie and Katya’s podcast – which I loved. I’m now recording my own podcast, Bear With Me, so look out for that. It will be me and my friend, Scotty the Otter.”

“I’ll also be keeping up with art commissions on my art page.”

“A goal for me is to get more exposure for hairy guys on mainstream TV. There has yet to ever be on mainstream or even reality TV an example of embracing hairy backs. If a hairy guy is shown on TV in a positive light, it’s generally five o’clock shadow and a few chest hairs. But never on any platform has back hair been embraced. In fact, it’s always the opposite and usually the butt of a joke or shown as the ‘before’ part of a guy’s makeover.”

“It’s great to see the progress that the Cock Destroyers are making with Slag Wars – that’s the first safe-for-work reality show to feature adult performers. Most networks specifically say we aren’t allowed to be on camera because of the work we do. Now, I want to take that progress one step further and show the world that back hair is sexy and not shameful!”
