I caught up with Cesar Xes for a behind-the-scenes look at his online life.
The origin story
“I always knew I was going to be in porn…” says Cesar, when I ask him how he got his start in the industry. “When I was kid, I found a copy of The Devil in Miss Jones. It had interviews with the performers, and I knew that this was what I wanted to do.”
“I’ve always been an exhibitionist. I like being nude in public – whether that’s a nude beach or a clothing-optional resort or just out on a hike. It gives me a thrill.”
“I shot my first scenes in 2002. I was right out of high school. Instead of going to my graduation, I flew to Chicago to film with CocoDorm.”
“I filmed for a year, then I took a break because I was in a relationship.”
“I came back to filming in 2014. I was working at a strip club and a producer from Citiboyz came in and asked me if I wanted to do porn. I said yes – let’s do it.”
“I was starting over again. I had a new name and a lot had changed.”
The business of porn
“What I like about the fan-subscription platforms is that you get to choose your own scene partners…” explains Cesar, when I ask him if he’s enjoying the entrepreneurial side of the industry.
“If you get to choose your own scene partners then the chemistry is more organic.”
“When you’re running a fan-subscription channel, you have to do everything yourself – the filming and the editing. It’s a little more difficult but you get the hang of it after a while.”
“I guess I have more of a preference for studio work. I love the whole production side of things – the set-up and shooting B-roll. I get the allure of fan-sites, but I like the whole guts and glory of the studio shit.”
“Everyone is doing OnlyFans, but it’s a whole different level to get booked by a studio.”
Getting behind the camera
“Working as a director with Treasure Island Media kind of just fell into my lap…” explains Cesar, when I ask him about his shift into directing scenes. “A friend of mine was directing for them, he was getting married and so wanted to step away from it. He recommended me to Paul at Treasure Island. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do.”
“There used to be a bit of stigma about working with Treasure Island Media. But now, everyone is doing bareback porn – everyone watches Treasure Island.”
“There’s not many guys who are still filming and also directing. When I’m directing, my approach is to try and give the models more control – to make it more organic and relaxed. I just set up the scenario for a great scene and then let them do what they want to do. I’ve filmed as a model with a load of studios, and no one has ever given me that freedom.”
“I know the industry inside out. I’m keen to direct more. I want to do more scripted scenes – bigger studio stuff. I went to a performing arts high school – I have a musical theatre background. I like setting up the scenario of a scene. I want to create a fantasy – I want to fuck the plumber!”
The underwear
“I own so much underwear, it’s ridiculous…” says Cesar, when our conversation inevitably turns to underwear. “It’s from my go-go boy days.”
“I own a lot of underwear, but I never wear underwear. Underwear makes me feel claustrophobic. I’ll only wear underwear if I’m wearing a suit and I have to look professional.”
“At the gym, I’m definitely freeballing. I live in West Hollywood – everyone is freeballing at the gym and wearing the shortest shorts they can find.”

Planning ahead

“I want to film as much studio stuff as possible. I recently did some shooting with a bisexual studio – I’m pretty pansexual as far as sex goes. That was a great experience – they made me a salmon dinner at the end of it!”
“As well as performing in studio scenes, I want to do more directing – creating scenes with more of a concept.”
“I’ve worked with Cazwell on his last couple of videos – you can see me in the reboot of his Ice Cream Truck video. He’s asked me to direct his next music video which will be for the track Damn I Look Good – I’m super-excited about that.”
“I’m also thinking about helping to manage some new talent. I get approached constantly by guys who want to break into the industry – mostly they’ve got OnlyFans and they want to take it further. I’ve learnt a lot in this business. I’ve had some ups and downs, but I always come back harder.”
