RYAN IDOL gets 12 Years In Prison.

14

More than a year after his conviction, a one-time gay porn star who beat his former girlfriend over the head with a toilet tank lid has been sentenced to 12 years in state prison for attempted murder.

Sacramento Superior Court Judge Troy L. Nunley imposed the term Wedneday on Marc Anthony Donais, 46, who established a reputation in the 1990s as one of the top stars in his genre under the name of Ryan Idol.

According to the victim’s testimony at trial, Donais entered the woman’s apartment the night of Sept. 5, 2009, and told her, “I came over here to kill you.” The two had been involved in a relationship, but the woman — whose name is being withheld because she is a domestic violence victim — said she cut it off when she caught him having sex with his male lover.

The woman said Donais stormed into her bathroom while she was taking a bath of her 48th Street residence and began to beat her with the porcelain lid until “I felt blood gushing down my shoulders.”

Donais’ sentencing had been delayed since his September 2011 conviction so his attorneys could prepare a motion for new trial that Nunley ultimately denied.

Homophobia Tracker Finds ‘Faggot’ On Twitter Nearly 1 Million Times Per Month! (via Accidental Bear)

Accidental Bear:

The Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS) at the University of Alberta launched NoHomophobes.com in July to track the usage of anti-gay language on Twitter, including “Faggot,” “So gay,” “No homo,” and “dyke.” In the short time the tracker has been active, it has found the word “Faggot” over 2.5 million times, an average of nearly 1 million times per month, or over 10 million times a year.

Dr. Kristopher Wells, Associate Director for iSMSS, responds to the data collected so far:

WELLS: We never imagined the scale of casual homophobia that actually exists on social media. The use of homophobic language remains one of the few socially acceptable forms of discrimination in our society and make no mistake, leads to isolation, bullying, beatings, and tragically youth suicide. […] Our use of casual homophobia must end. We are all responsible to put a stop to it. The lives of our youth, and the humanity of our society depends upon it.

The campaign encourages people to use the #nohomophobes hashtag on Twitter to respond to such negative language, and to “challenge their friends, colleagues, or family members who use it.”

Barebacking? Yay or Nay? (more than 30 pics to help you decide)

There really is a return to old school barebacking in porn videos lately. Like tattoos, it’s everywhere! So while I was looking at some of these SEAN CODY bareback sex pics I was just getting so fucking hard and horny. Totally whipped it out and jerked myself silly. Am I becoming one of these dudes that can now only get turned on by bareback videos?

I have to say bareback porn really does turn me on more than most condom porn (especially when the guys are as stunning as the guys in these photos). I totally get off seeing cum dripping out of a dude’s asshole. It’s dangerous… yet I admire it. There’s a weird sense of guilt mixed with a soothing comforting sense that natural raw sex is where it’s at. I still think I’ll leave it to just watching and not doing “it”… yet.

What do you guys think?
Is it a personal choice?
“Only idiots bareback.”

Should we stop watching bareback porn so men don’t risk their lives for our pleasure?
Are you a proud barebacker?
“Totally fucking hot to watch… but I wouldn’t do it.”

HUFFPOST:

New York City-based writer-director Adam Goldman has produced an intriguing new 6 part web series about gay life in the big city. Titled “The Outs,” Goldman describes his new series as “a story about big relationships, the ones that really define people, and what happens when they fall apart, and how that can change someone.”

As Goldman tells HuffPost Gay Voices:

When was the last time a show about gay people made you feel something?

Here’s the thing: sometimes if you want something and you can’t find it then you have to make it. Right? I wanted a character-driven comedy with heart about gay men — I love Mitch and Cam on “Modern Family,” but those aren’t my people. I don’t live in California and I don’t have a baby. And I never went to clown school. (Not that I wouldn’t. I would!) Mitch and Cam brighten that show immeasurably, but it’s not about them.

As it turns out, “The Outs” is quite the community project. Noting that he “wants to give [viewers] an idea of what it’s like to live here without alienating you if you don’t,” Goldman continues:

We shoot in Brooklyn. Our locations are local businesses (Pete Zaaz, Glass Shop and Wino(t) in Crown Heights, for example). Our music is by local bands — Beauty Feast, Akudama, Strange Shapes and Delicate Steve, just to name a few.

There’s more information at our website, and the best way to keep up with the show is on Facebook.
