Last year, “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” star Andy Whitfield was forced to withdraw from the title role due to his ongoing battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. And with Whitfield’s blessing, Starz decided to go forward into a second season and cast a new Spartacus in his place.
For the upcoming “Spartacus: Vengeance,” Liam McIntyre will step into Whitfield’s sandals. And although footage of McIntyre in action is expected to be shown this week at the San Diego Comic-Con, Entertainment Weeky has debuted three new pictures of McIntyre as Spartacus.“Spartacus: Vengeance” will pick up where “Blood and Sand” left off; with Spartacus, Oenomaus (Peter Mensah ), Crixus (Manu Bennett) and the other escaped gladiators waging a full blown slave rebellion against their former captors.
Lucy Lawless will return as Lucretia, despite suffering seemingly fatal wounds alongside her onscreen husband, Batiatus (John Hannah).Ashur (Nick Tarabay ), Claudius Glaber (Craig Parker) and Ilithyia (Viva Bianca ) will also be returning in the new season.
Zach Braff says he’s NOT gay … and insists he’s the victim of a HACKER — who broke in to his website this morning and posted a fake “coming out” statement.
The phony statement appeared early Wednesday morning — reading, “I have been hiding a secret inside me for too long. The human mind can only bare so much before it explodes in emotions, and well … it is time to let the world know. I am excited and proud to announce that I am an open member of the homosexual community.”
But Zach’s rep tells TMZ … “He was hacked … that site has been down since 2006.”
UPDATE: Zach just posted his own statement to his Facebook, writing, “My old website got hacked. Someone issued a ‘coming out’ statement on my behalf. I’m still straight and in love with my girlfriend. But not too straight; I still love musicals, brunch and Doogie Howser.”
