It’s a great time to be jerking off online, at least according to Squirt.org members.

We surveyed over 13,000 Squirt.org members in our 2021 Big Gay Sex Survey to find out how they got their freak on over the last year. And one thing’s for certain, the world may have slowed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, but hormones have kept on raging.

Here are some highlights from the survey:

Masturbation is the Mood

For many people the pandemic meant plenty of alone time. Over one third (34%) of respondents told us there’s been a noticeable increase in the amount of masturbating they’ve done since the COVID-19 pandemic began. And another 55% of respondents indicated no change in the amount of times they masturbate. (If you’re already jerking off a lot, why slow down?)

In terms of how often people are going solo, the most common answer was multiple times a week, followed daily. And 12% of respondents have been keeping both their calendars and their hands very full, jerking off multiple times per day. To the 1% of respondents that never masturbate at all, we salute your self control!

In-Person Sex is On-Hold

With lockdowns and restrictions in place, it’s no surprise that in-person sexual encounters became less common. Almost one half of users (49%) told us they’ve been having less physical sex during the pandemic than they would during a normal year. And another 28% indicated there’s been no change.

Meanwhile, 19% of respondents claimed to be having even more sex during the pandemic! If you’re shacked up with the right partner that sounds like a great way to spend a lockdown.

Cyber Sex is on the Rise

As stay at home mandates hit countries around the world, Squirt.org members slowed down on cruising and arranging hookups,and looked for new ways to get off. To help with this, Squirt.org launched the new Video Chat Rooms feature to help members connect virtually.

Of users interested in cyber sex, almost half (44%) told us there’s been an increase in the amount of virtual sex they engaged in compared to previous years. Another 37% stated they were engaging in the same amount.

An added perk of cyber sex: it can take place anywhere, anytime and with anyone. Squirt.org members indicated that for the most part they don’t care where their cyber sex partners are located. 24% of respondents look for local guys to play with and only 3% look for guys abroad. But the majority (65%) told us they don’t really care about location.
