I caught up with Joshua Flores for a behind-the-scenes look at his online life.
The origin story
“A few years back, I started posting risqué content on Instagram to promote a night I host called JOCK at Fubar…” explains Joshua, when I ask how he got his start in the adult entertainment industry. “As the night progressed, so did my content. I kept revealing more with each post but there’s only so much you can show on Instagram.”
“I figured that I’d start an OnlyFans to show everything and still promote my night.”
“Well, once the pandemic hit and I was furloughed from work, I concentrated heavily on my OnlyFans to pay the bills. This meant starting a Twitter and amping up my collaborations for my OnlyFans page.”
The exhibitionist thrill
“I can be an exhibitionist – at times, definitely…” confirms Joshua. “But, even though I’m constantly bombarding social media with my bum, I appreciate having time when I can turn off and not be seen.”
Heroes and inspirations
“François Sagat is definitely someone I admire…” says Joshua, considering who he takes inspiration from in the industry. “He has his own style, where porn becomes art. It’s not always about being perfect, but staying true to yourself and owning it.”
The business of adult entertainment
“Thinking like a business person is my weakness…” admits Joshua, when I ask if he enjoys the entrepreneurial requirements of today’s industry. “I wish that I had a game plan on where exactly this will all lead. But, as the pandemic has shown, no career path is definite or promised.”
“I’m trying to evolve and survive in this current time.”
“Having the support of followers and fans has given me confidence to keep doing what I’m doing. It hasn’t been easy but it’s really nice and encouraging to receive sweet messages from people.”
The underwear
“My underwear drawer is jam packed!” confirms Joshua, when our conversation inevitably turns to underwear.
“There are so many brands that I love – from Cellblock13 to Coyote Jocks to Alex Galvez Underwear to MCE Creations.”
“However, when I’m at the gym or on a run, I seem to always grab a pair of Hanes boxer-briefs.”
“As for what I like to see on other guys, definitely jockstraps or thongs. Woof! I love all of the male physique, but a nice ass in a jockstrap or thong is peak turn-on.”
Plans for the future
“I’d like to get back into the bars safely, and start promoting again when Covid restrictions ease up…” says Joshua, when I ask what the months ahead might hold for him.
“I really can’t wait to hug and dance with friends and strangers – remembering what we lost but also celebrating all we have overcome.”
