I caught up with Link Parker to talk awards, rimming, and the importance of saying hello to the neighbours.
The origin story
“It happened when I was on vacation…” explains Link, when I ask him how he got his start in the adult entertainment industry.
“When I was 20, I took my first trip to Los Angeles to visit a friend. He knew that I wasn’t in school or working at the time, and that I wanted to travel a bit but didn’t really have the funds. He told me that he knew a guy that worked for Sean Cody, and asked if I’d be interested. I was all for it, and ended up doing a few scenes for them.”
“After Sean Cody, I didn’t film again for almost exactly 10 years. I was on vacation in Puerto Vallarta. It turned out that the villa I was staying in was right next door to where Michael Lucas was filming. One morning, I was eating breakfast out on the porch. I looked down to the villa below and saw all these damn sexy naked men fucking and being filmed. I threw off my shirt and headed out the door to give my new neighbors a nice hello.”
“The front door was open, so I walked on in. A guy asked me who I was and if I’d ever done porn. My vacation was nearing its end, so when they invited me to stay for a couple of weeks and film with them, I eagerly accepted.”
“Michael put me up in a hotel, where I ended up rooming with Dallas Steele and Cade Maddox. They gave me all kinds of advice on things I should do if I wanted to continue to build a name for myself in the industry – things had changed a lot from when I shot with Sean Cody.”
“I think Cade is one of the coolest and most laid-back guys – I really respect the way he carries himself and always seemed to be a couple steps ahead of everyone. Dallas is a great guy with a lot of old-school respect. He always stands when someone comes to the table, he’s never late for call-time – he’s very professional, and very personable.”
“After we’d met in Mexico, Dallas invited me to Palm Springs Pride where I met lots of other performers in the industry. From there, things started to take off.”
Award winning rimming
“I’m so unbelievably honoured to have been a part of so many nominations for the 2020 Grabbys!” says Link, when I ask him about his Hottest Rimming win alongside Brock Banks.
“I’m even more honoured and humbled to have a scene win for a scene that I had a great time filming with a great person. Congrats, Brock – we did it!”
The business of porn
“I don’t like the entrepreneurial side of filming…” says Link, when I ask him how he juggles all of the demands facing performers in the adult entertainment industry.
“I’m dyslexic, and I’m not good with computers or social media. That’s one of the main reasons that I don’t have a JustFor.Fans or an OnlyFans channel. When I hook up, I don’t want to have to think about if a sexual encounter that I’m having might bring me a payday, to have to ask if I can film, and then get it edited – it’s just too much for me.”
“I really miss the days when studios paid models a healthy amount of money that you could be proud of, and did all the work for you. Some studios even flew you business class, then had a limo to pick you up from the airport.”
The underwear
“I’m not that big of an underwear guy…” admits Link, when our conversation inevitably turns to underwear. “If I can go without, I do.”
“If I had to pick a favorite kind of underwear, I’d say any pair with padding in the butt – any guy that has a bubble butt and big legs tends to catch my eye – especially if they’re wearing a jockstrap and hightops!”
Plans for the future
“My goals and aspirations in the next few months are to get a tan, enjoy the summer, get on the boat every chance I can, take a few road trips, and spend time with family and friends…” says Link, when I ask him what’s on his agenda.
“Just relaxing and living the simple life in the Midwest. I’m hoping for some new fun opportunities after this crazy time that we’re living in is over.”
