I caught up with Ethan Chase – one of our favourite men from Montreal – to talk influences, aspirations, and underwear.
Filming with Michael Lucas
“It was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget…” confirms Ethan, talking about his recent on-location shoot in Puerto Vallarta with Lucas Entertainment. “The location was absolutely stunning!”
“Michael Lucas certainly does have a vision when it comes to porn, and it’s reflected in the setting, camera-work, and the energy of the models he chooses. I’m quite honoured to have been chosen. I hope to be part of more of Michael’s productions in the future.”

“I’ve generally been using Twitter to connect with other models for filming fan-subscription content. Through studio work, I’ve been meeting more people who work in the industry. That’s been amazing, and I’m excited to be getting some of them on my JustFor.Fans site.”
“Studio work is also a great way to gain exposure – I’m hoping that it will help grow my audience in the long run. I wouldn’t say that it’s essential – there are a number of models who use other platforms aside from studio work to help build their audience – but it does help.”
The business of porn
“Porn isn’t my main job…” explains Ethan, when I ask him how he approaches the business side of the adult entertainment industry. “I also work as a sexual health coordinator and psychosocial support coordinator for a sexual health community centre in Montreal.”
“I have to use a lot of time-management in order to juggle both my work in porn and my work in sexual health – both jobs are equally important to me.”
“I enjoy being an adult entertainment entrepreneur. I enjoy the challenge of building my brand as a porn-star, and growing my audience.”
Heroes and inspirations
“My porn heroes are the ones who have gone through great changes over the years…” replies Ethan, when I ask him about his heroes and inspirations.
“One name that comes to mind is Nick Capra. I have a turbulent past of struggling with Crystal Meth addiction, which plagued my life on and off for about 10 years. Today, I’m celebrating five years off the stuff – I take my recovery very seriously. Nick is an inspiration to me since we have a similar background and I support the work that he’s done on himself over the years.”
“I also have to mention Brent Everett. Brent has been my porn-crush since I was a teenager. I was fortunate to get to meet him during the recent Puerto Vallarta shoot with Michael Lucas.”
The underwear
“I mostly wear sexy briefs…” confirms Ethan, when our conversation inevitably turns to underwear. “I find them really comfortable, so I wear them everyday and also to the gym.”
“As for what other men wear, I’m open to anything as long as it looks good. I love a guy in a jockstrap, briefs, or ever boxer briefs. I prefer a guy in underwear that’s tight-fitting – I’m not into loose-fitted boxers, I don’t understand how anyone could be comfortable wearing them.”
Goals and aspirations
“I hope to get some more studio work in the coming months…” says Ethan, when I ask him about his plans for the future. “I’m focused mostly on Canadian or European based producers, since I sadly can’t travel to the US.”
“I also have a number of project ideas in regards to advocacy – projects that tie into my day job as a sexual health worker. I’d like to make some videos talking about important issues such as stigma, status, addiction and other social issues – things that I feel should be talked about more in the porn industry.”
“Ultimately, I just want to keep my fans happy and engaged so that we can all grow together in the months to come.”
