The gay porn legend who worked exclusively for Falcon Studios before appearing in features for Hot House, Colt, and C1R has died.
Though a cause of death has not been officially released, both Falcon and Hot House confirmed his passing this morning. Weston, 39, signed with Falcon in 2001 and went on to star in their biggest titles of the decade (Deep South, Heaven To Hell, Taking Flight). Weston began his career as a dancer at the Nob Hill Theatre in San Francisco, and after being discovered there by Chi Chi LaRue, he quickly became one of the decade’s most iconic performers.
Weston’s later work with several bareback studios was seen by some as controversial, but his flawless physique and legendary performances are what, I think, will be remembered most.
Weston unfortunately joins a long list of performers who’ve died this year, including Erik Rhodes, Adam Faust, Corbin Fisher’s Sean, Roman Ragazzi, and more.

While the cause looks obvious, its not my place to judge. HIV or not, I pray he crossed peacefully and that when he views his life he’s pleased with what he sees…I mean that at face value and not degradingly. God rest man.

Of course, I’ll add that it is up to the individual, and especially in porn the studio, to ensure that their talent stay healthy and do not endanger other talent. Of course, I realize this can be difficult in some cases, but I have read/heard from porn actors/and believe that a majority of studios do their best to ensure that those talents who engage in bareback are properly tested before and after filming scenes.
Also, I’m not sure how old some of you are or how much research you do on the subject, but HIV/AIDs is no longer a death sentence and hasn’t been for quite some years. Yes, we don’t have a cure, but with proper medical attention, it is possible to live a good healthy life that definitely does not end at 39. As a porn actor, especially in bareback scenes, he’d most likely have had the common sense to get regularly tested. It is incredibly rare that anyone would get to the point of fatality without noticing something going on at some stage.
We don’t know why, that’s true, but it is truly amazing to see that such an archaic view is still held on HIV/AIDS.

It is always tragic when one dies well before their time. Many of us enjoyed his videos over the years. However, this again reveals the darker side of the porn industry, escort services and poor safe sex decisions.
As Malemasseur and others pointed out AIDS is a growing problem again. Various blogs often said how kind and caring Josh was, but others who claimed to be his escort clients spoke of his barebacking. His recklessness has caused his premature death, the loss to his friends and family and his fans..what a waste and for what? He claimed in a interview in 2007 that he was leaving Falcon over political differences. He released his first BB video in 2008, clearly they parted company over his POZ status, they just allowed him the courtesy of a cover story. The BB studios state they hire only POZ models as to not be responsible for infecting HIV- ones. By BB with other infected guys you acquire their strains as well creating an impossible viral load on your weakened immune system and drug therapy.
Compounding this with his steroid use, which further suppresses your compromised immune system and you have a disaster waiting to happen. Sadly, that’s what happened just the other day.
It is said we all kill ourselves in our own way…smoking, drinking, overeating, etc… We’re all here for a good time. Let Josh’s short life be of special value in reminding us to make informed, sane decisions in how we interact with one another here and the consequences of those seemingly simple, but fateful decisions can be. Let us remember Josh in better days and may he find peace.
Suggestions that “HIV/AIDs is no longer a death sentence and hasn’t been for quite some years” are common, but don’t tell the whole story. The drug cocktails given have serious side-effects, and sometimes just stop working. Too many guys think an HIV+ diagnosis is solved by a prescription.
Aside from drug cocktails there are alternative treatments and therapies that have had mixed, but occasionally successful results. I try to research all elements of treatment to anything. Sadly, in this day and age, people do have the mentality that any and everything should be cured with a few pills.
