All deaths in the industry are difficult to cope with, but this one is especially troubling for us.
Randal Lynch, a writer and personal friend of porn superstar Arpad Miklos (aka Peter Kozma), confirmed the passing of the adult actor in a YouTube newscast titled “The Howard Bragman Show” this morning. The cause of death was suicide.
The Hungarian-born legend moved to America shortly after being discovered by porn studio Kristen Bjorn while working as a chemist, and pursued a career in the adult industry “on a whim.” After moving to America and teaching himself English, the legend appeared in more than 45 adult films and countless other one-off scenes.
“He was a great guy, on top of that, there was a lot more to him than just that surface persona. He was a very active person in the gay community, he gave a lot of money to charities, and was overall a really good guy”, Lynch says of his friend. “He was probably one of the biggest pornstars out there.”
Miklos, 45, was found dead in his apartment on Sunday, and left a suicide note with detailed instructions for his boyfriend concerning the burial of his body and the service. When asked if depression may have played a role in the suicide, Lynch claims “he [Miklos] wasn’t happy, but he wasn’t going into crying fits. I knew he was depressed, but I didn’t realize the severity of it because he wasn’t a very talkative person.”
Also in the note, Miklos’ final words for the judgement he expected today, as interpreted by Lynch: ”haters can hate, people can speculate, but he’s not going to give a specific reason and give that satisfaction to anyone.”

Suicide is truly one of the most heart wrenching acts a human may take. The depth of loneliness and despair that, in their mind leaves them no other pathway, must be be overwhelming. This death of a bright and intelligent man underlines the importance,yet again,to remain connected with our friends and family. I knew Peter in passing through some fundraisers both here in L.A. and N.Y. An affable and generous man that was also a private one. Sadly, he felt there was no one near the end to reach out to and confide in. The same situation happened to Dror(Roman Ragazzi) nearly a year ago. Whatever demons Arpad felt he couldn’t conquer in life,he has now dispatched by his own death. Honor his passing by reaching out to someone you haven’t connected with for a long time..a phone call, email or better yet in person and remind them they are important and someone cares…you’ll both be the better for it.
A beautiful man in many ways…you’ll be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

How sad. Been through two dark periods myself. Thankfully I found strength I never knew I had and got beyond it all. I came close once, had a period of time picked. Life intervened and I moved ahead. It had nothing to do within sexuality but more to do with an accumulation of things dating back from grade school, both jr & senior high school & life in general. I know what it’s like to put on a facade and loved ones are none the wiser. I pray I stay away from the dark feelings the rest of my life. I pray this poor man has moved on to Mother God’s & Father God’s loving embrace.

I just want to say I m very sorry to hear about this. I know of friends of mine that knew him & told me he was a very kind an good person. The problem with our society we judge so much from what we see on the exterior of a person but little do we know whats really going on inside of that persons mind.
