Atticus Finch, from Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird”, was a beautiful example of a fine father such as this…as was my Dad.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad, miss you!

  2. It was a very rough Father’s Day for me yesterday–it was my first one without my dad—he died seven weeks ago now. At least I am pretty much past the weepy stage and didn’t cry too much–but it was still a less than pleasant one for me—-for those of you who still have your dads and you get along at all—enjoy and appreciate the times you get to spend with your dad—as time goes on—you get closer to the day that he will be gone.

  3. I lost my Father to cancer, in 1969, and I still think of him to this day. He was a man that took two little boys who were not his, and raise them as his own, and never once did he referr to us as his steps-sons but as his sons.I staill remember when he tried to teach me the BIRDS AND THE BEES and I kept telling him no Dad, its called tor that. He told my mother, that heel the boy knows more than we do.
