Today, scientists announced a historic breakthrough. For the first time ever, humanity photographed a supermassive black hole millions of light years from earth. No one is quite sure what happens at the center of a black hole: they are one of the great awe-inspiring mysteries of the cosmos.   1. (human male) holes are indeed glorious! just wanted to give a shout out of congrats to the astronomers who were able to photograph the black hole, which I thought could never be done done due to a black hole’s very nature of sucking in everything around it including light
