10. Finally a post for Francois Sagat, I thought I’d never see the day! I am also very sad to see him leave the industry, he was one of my all-time faves. But as other people have said, it’s much better that he left on good terms and of his own choosing, before imminent old age or even death would ensue.

Too many dismissed the man without thinking or knowing his story. When they got the message, he went from zero to hero quickly as he deserved. If that’s what you mean by ‘teach’, I’m guilty and would do it again. To try and associate me with Lurker is just insulting. Lurker hated every post and tried to tear it down. I try to add info to make it more interesting if possible. You, on the other hand, seem anxious to take over his role of attacking other bloggers who you don’t like..why? Maybe you should spend more time making your life more interesting instead of attacking mine.

    @Deeptongue: I made 4 simple points today about Sagat: 1) he’s hot and smart; 2) relayed his own words about how he’s returning to his roots and reinventing himself; 3) wishing him luck; 4) giving you a foreign site with some more pics. How is that ‘pontificating’? If you think mentioning Sagat is name dropping, then you live in a small world. Name dropping is relative just like everything else in life. I come from an accomplished family and have a rather successful business. Most of my clients and a lot of family are famous, but I’ve never mentioned them here. To me they’re just friends and family who happen to be well known. Several books a year are published about my family name and a PBS/History Channel special is being discussed for production. For example, I toured with my late cousin several times throughout the world. He was a nat’l. security advisor, W.H. Chief of Staff, NATO Commander, Secretary of State. Through him I met 6 Presidents and their Cabinets, foreign heads of state as their guest and remained friends over the years with them all. I never miss Anderson Cooper’s Xmas party when I visit his mother Gloria Vanderbilt, another relative along with the DuPonts. Though I worked my way through private college, I still made friends with the Saudi princes and other diplomats in my classes and was their guest just a few years ago. I could go on, but that’s MY idea of name dropping, not most of the people I’ve mentioned here. I’ve had many a great time with Bob Mizer back in the day with street hustlers turned porn stars as well. It’s all good and interesting in my world…beer on the porch or a state dinner and everything in between. I just want it to be an interesting life for as long as the ride lasts and it’s fun to share stories along the way. Enjoy yours instead of worrying about mine..
