DISRUPTIVE FILMS: Toby (Jack Bailey) is staying at his ‘Uncle’ Carl’s apartment after a concert. As Toby’s dad best friend, Carl (Dale Savage) has always been in his life and has seen him grow up. (Years ago, it was possible to buy porn featuring 16- and 17-year olds in countries like the Netherlands because the age of consent was 16. BUT, Americans who bought that porn and tried bringing it back to the States would be arrested for possession of child pornography–that’s why a lot of such buyers would have specially designed luggage to try and hide it from inspection.) But even in areas where age of consent is 16 or 17, you still CANNOT produce fully-nude pictures (photos, videos or even illustrations) of such persons without risking kiddie porn charges (special permission can be received for medical/scientific matters but such pictures are rarely erotic or sexual by design; it doesn’t mean there aren’t folks who get turned on but anyone who has a “collection” of “medical/scientific” nude teens will definitely be the target of a police investigation).
Within the context of the video, “Carl” could tell “Toby” that he’s found himself becoming attracted to Toby over the past few years but just for a simple write-up here, it’s just better to completely avoid any such comment because certain “busybodies” don’t take “nuance” or “context” when they’re looking for something to stoke their outrage. Someone scanning the web for “perverts” selling/collecting “kiddie porn” is just going to take an relatively innocuous “confession” as proof of “kiddie porn.”
