So MANHUNT posted this story last week & Towleroad posted it for like a few hours then took it down. ManHunt writer Derek DeWitt ended his story with this posted ever so small -“NOTE: Everything in this post is a lie. All of it.” Love him or hate him… Cody Cummings sure gets attention. People want him to be gay… but they also love the “straight man”. Is Cody evil or is he just giving people what they want? And why did these other blogs believe this story so easily? Sound off in the comments section.

MANHUNT DAILY:

“I apologize to my fans for waiting so long to make this announcement,” Cody Cummings said in an exclusive press release from Next Door Studios. “You’ve all been so patient watching me expand my horizons and explore my sexuality onscreen, and while I’ve been hesitating to say this so long – because of all the haters – I feel the need to be honest with you. I am a proud, gay American.”

He continues:

“Ever since filming SHADOWKISS with Anthony Romero, things haven’t been the same for me. My straight and bi work began to feel like an obligation. My body ached for the touch of another man, the feeling of him deep inside of me… But how could I disappoint the millions of female fans of CodyCummings.com?

“After many sleepless nights, it dawned on me that I could still satisfy my loyal customers without sacrificing my integrity. You don’t have to be straight to have sex with a woman. I’m a performer through and through, and when life gives you lemons – you just have to perform.

“My latest scene (see attached images) showcases me making love to fellow Next Door Studios performer Joey Hard. In filming this, I hope you can see that I’ve truly evolved into an honest man, whose [sic] willing to share his passion with the world. Thank you for your time.”

Well, that post just wrote itself! I’ve turned comments off out of respect for Cody’s feelings—since you haven’t been very nice to him in the past—but I hope that one day we can all look back on this and discuss the courage it took for Cody to share these words with the world.- DeWitt

  1. Dude does nothing for me.. straight, bi or gay he’s a yawn. Still don’t get the point of this article tho, did he or didn’t he come out?

  2. ^Someone made a joke ‘coming out’ article, and then other websites didn’t pick up on it and thought it was real.

  3. Sorta makes me think of Anderson Cooper, Sean Hayes, Neil Patrick Harris, Michael Urie [who?], and Richard Chamberlain [huh?]. Methinks aya is right, ‘coming out’ is either a big joke or a publicity stunt.

  4. ^Because sex always equals attraction, and every single person in the world has ONLY had sex with people they’re physically attracted to, right?

  5. Regardless of his sexuaility ALL porn is fantasy (str8, bi and even GAY). We the viewers male and female want to believe (hope, pray, wish)that that could be one of us with the actor THAT IS WHY WE WATCH PORN. PORN IS FANTASTY!!! Cody can be str8 to those that wish him to be, bi to the ones that want that and GAY to those that want that. ONLY Cody knows for sure who and what he is…..MAYBE he will reveal his true self to the world as he continues to live his PRIVATE life off of the video and computer screens but ultimately it is up to him and him ALONE.

  6. Of course he’s not gay — Next Door Studios is trying every trick in the book to keep themselves relevant, even to the point of jettisoning some of their other star talent (Rod Daily, Marcus Mojo) to keep Cummings happy. He’s a talentless gay-for-pay hack.

  7. If he is actually gay and has been denying it all this time he should be ashamed that he has perpetuated the sick obsession that the gay community seems to have with straight guys who do gay stuff. It is just reinforcing the stereotype that being gay is not good enough and that straight guys are somehow better or more worthy of our attention. That’s why I never watch his porn. That and that it’s so vanilla.

  8. I certainly hope as this decade wears on this stops. You’re gay, that’s it. Straight, same. Bi, same again. But these guys that claim they’re pay-for-gay is degrading to all of us. I mean its fine if you want/need to stay closeted. Not every circumstance is the same. But just don’t lable yourself as someone who does it for the money. You set us all back decades. It sends the simple minded, Bible belt, youth, and many others the wrong message. As if to say their bodies are for sale for the right price. Porn is fantasy and he need only answer to himself but if some porn producer is waving around $5,000-$10,000 to have same sex relations but you’re “straight” is pure bullshit! Sexuality has shades of gray, its called bi-sexuality for those that aren’t 100% into men or women. If you’re not comfortable with a lable, then don’t do a variety of films that lable you as nothing more than a gigolo that will do a guy because it makes your bank account look better. Best thing to do is to sit there, look stupid rather than to speak and remove all doubt. And don’t hand me that bullshit of I won’t kiss a guy or suck another’s cock. Your dick is buried in the asshole of another man. Newsflash…That’s HOMOSEXUAL sex. It only because HETEROSEXUAL if you’re in a woman or BI-SEXUAL if you’re in a threesome with a man and a woman. What you call yourself doesn’t mean fuck! I can go around saying I’m the most powerful witch with active powers or Superman, or a millionaire. It doesn’t mean shit unless I really am!!! Hot man but seriously has some soul searching and growing up to do. Again, if family, religion, etc dictates your life and you can’t come out, great. Just don’t lable yourself. You set yourself up for scrutiny

  9. Who are you trying to validate by running this article ? Squirt.org ? So he came out ( yawn ). I am with the belief that people who need to validate their own sexuality will out someone else . In other words they are not comfortable being who they are ? Is squirt comfortable ?

  10. Sicilian, I love how you say Sexuality has shades of grey, and then proceed to state emphatically if you do X, X, and X you’re this, this or this.

Sexuality is about attraction. Homosexuals are physically attracted to people of the same gender as them, bisexuals are attracted to both, typically with a preference to one or the other. Heterosexuals are attracted to the opposite sex.

Attracted. That’s the key word. Attracted.

Has every single sexual encounter you’ve had been with a guy you’ve found attractive? What about gay guys who stay closeted, have sex with women they marry and don’t really find physically attractive, father kids, and then come to terms with themselves and come out? Are they automatically bi?

Sex does not always have to include attraction. Sex is merely physical stimulation. The penis has nerves that respond to pleasurable sensations. Your penis isn’t really going to care what’s causing the pleasure, it’ll just respond. Is it a a hand, a mouth a vagina, an ass, a fleshjack, a dead sheep? Your body will physically respond just the same (With minor differences, obviously, as the texture and firmness of individual orifices is different). Pleasure is pleasure, and barring the few people who have extreme mental blocks, pleasure does not always require attraction.

Of course, on a mental and ‘spiritual’ level, attraction+pleasure is immensely better; however, if sexuality and sex are indeed shades of grey as you say (Ooo, I did a rhyme), then surely you could be capable of wrapping your mind around people who take pleasure for pleasure, even if attraction has nothing to do with it.

Also, Homosexual, b…anything ending in sexual is NOT about the sex, but the attractions of an individual. Using that, Bisexuals must always have threesomes with each sex in order to be bisexual. I understand what you’re implying, but using those specific terms gets into a messy area.

I could go out, and slam my cock into a variety of vaginas simply because I want some pleasure. I could also stick my cock into a 400 lbs. guy I find repulsive. It won’t mean I’m attracted to girls, and it definitely won’t mean I’m attracted to the morbidly obese. Sex is pleasure. Sexuality is attraction.

Not to defend these gay-for-pay guys, but no. Sticking your cock in another guy does not make you gay. Being attracted to him does.

  11. The commentators have certainly made this somewhat bland post into an interesting discussion of porn, sex, what defines “gay” and how we self identify ourselves. Combine this with it’s co-post of the early death of Josh Weston from HIV and you have many thoughtful ideas flowing. Perhaps, Squirt could create a discussion forum on the site…the sharing of ideas is always informative and empowering. The younger members here might find wisdom and understanding in the thoughts and experiences of their older brothers that is still lacking outside the gay community.

As to Cody… besides the above aspects, you have the big overlay that this is all about a commercial enterprise. Is this just an ongoing publicity stunt to create buzz for visibility and sales? Keep the discussion going….

  12. I’m not even going to bother to break it down what I was getting at. If you have the need to question, you just don’t get my post.
