Towleroad:

“Yesterday, Towleroad posted about the tragic suicide of Buffalo-area teen Jamey Rodemeyer, who took his life after being bullied over his sexuality for years. Last night, Anderson Cooper talked about Jamey’s death with bullying experts Rosalind Wiseman and Rachel Simmons, and about right-wing groups who say there’s no need for anti-bullying policies in schools.”

  1. Of all the things we comment on no one has said anything on this. I can say i was one of the few that made it. Some dont and we need to stop the loss of your younger generation. Even if you are LGBT or straight bullying should never take place and we need to start taking care of our own here in the USA. Hope this hasnt offended anyone and i appreciate your time.

  2. I find this heartbreaking. This was a beautiful child, someone’s son, someone’s family, someone’s friend and probably someone’s unspoken crush. I was bullied like this in school it got better but I still can be haunted by things said to me 35 years ago. It doesn’t go too far away. My point is be kind to one another.

  3. I went through this in my Jr High, and High School. I fought back and became really mean and would fight at the drop of a hat, because I was always trying to prove I was not a SISSY because I was GAY. That was just the way I always was, from as early as 5yrs old. I hAD A bIG crush on My Fathers Best Friend, so I knew at an early age what I liked. I tried many times to end my life, thankfully I never died. My Father was SOOOO ANTI GAY, so I knew to never say a thing about my feelings to him. I feel so Sad that a Child of 14 feels death is the only way, now days, it is so much easier to come out, my support groups. I send My Prayers to hias family.
