HUFFPOST: It’s not a secret that many gay men adore rugby players — and now they have one more reason to love them!

The United Kingdom’s Wolverhamton Wolverines, an Aussie Rules football club, have taken it upon themselves to make sure that everyone knows how to check for testicular cancer (something all gay men need to ensure that they’re performing regularly).

In an effort to raise money for the Balls to Cancer charity, these hunky athletes dropped their pants in a Maverick TV segment to demonstrate how screening for testicular cancer is really done, utilizing everything from compact mirrors to an ultrasound system.

  1. Hats off to this, that is what is needed in this country. What a great example of something that will save lives and shown in a truly free society that does not censor TV as they do in the US.

  2. The show is called Embarrassing Bodies & they are always doing segments like this. It is shown here in Australia on a free to air channel Nine Network & we are about to get an Aussie version off the same show.

  3. It’s about time more interest is directed towards testicular cancer. I know that breast cancer awareness is important, but am I the only one who gets pissed off that so much more money and marketing goes into helping problems relating to women than to men?

  4. Did anyone else notice….that not only are their balls shaved, but they have no pubic hair at all !! Whats up with that? Did they do it just for this video?

  5. Very important to post these kind of vids on this site. Awareness of testicular cancer is necessary. Shame that some comments are if this vid deals with arousement. It’s not sexual. It can save your life.

  6. This a great way to bring attention to such a delicate (no pun intended) matter. I agree with nightowl that more efforts and fundraising should be placed on men’s issues such as this as this tends to be one of those taboo type of discussions. Great video.

  7. Wouldn’t it be great if such a video could be shown in America?

Especially to high school and college males who need this information the most.

  8. Well I checked and booked an ultrasound this Friday to be sure. This is much needed.. hats off to these boys!
