Per the Londonist, posters urging dog walkers to “Take back” Hampstead Heath from gay men cruising were put up, sparking obvious backlash from the LGBTQ+ community and queer men around London and the surrounding area, who pointed out that cruising has been happening in the area for over two centuries and is legal.
The posters also violate the City of London Corporation rules against flyposting.

If you want to take back the hot and horny right to cruise the local gay parks of LDN, ACT UP London and This is My Culture organized a ‘Sodomites Walk’ on Hampstead Heath on March 2, 2025, to protest against restrictions on gay cruising.
Participants are encouraged to bring placards, banners, and friends in solidarity with the cause. The event aims to defend cruising as a longstanding part of queer culture.
The walk will start at Jack Straws Castle at 12 pm and is an important moment for gay men in London and the UK to stand up for their right to fuck!
