14. For those here over 25, Nick is the youngest of the Jonas Bros., the boy band. His selfie is showing the result of his exercise routine that’s part of his controlling his Type 1 diabetes. This type, formerly juvenile diabetes, is where the body produces no insulin and attacks children and teens. He’s worked with some of the kids at my children’s charity and is quite inspirational to them. He works as a spokesman for the Amer. Diabetes Found. and has his own, Change for the Children Foundation. The teen years are hard enough, but imagine counting carbs,multiple tests and shots, watching your activity level, etc. 24/7 for the rest of your life. The spontaneity we enjoyed as teens means planning for them. So he’s an inspiration to kids, as one of their own, that life can be normal, exciting and fun after all. A great young man that’s hot in many ways.
