It’s time to get naked in Australia

If you like getting naked with other guys, and you fancy some vacation time in Australia, then this could be you.

Gay Naturists International – the guys behind the annual Naked Camp in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania – bring you Naked Beach. Held from 21-28 February 2019, Naked Beach takes you Turtle Cove Resort on the Great Barrier Reef for a unique Australian experience.

Turtle Cove Resort is a gay, clothing-optional resort that has its own private clothing-optional beach. It’s a stunning part of the world.

I caught up with Gene Evangelist from GNI to find out more about the trip.

How many guys do you expect to take part in the Naked Beach event in Australia?

We’re expecting roughly 50 men who will be staying at the resort, and an equal number of local guys dropping in to spend some quality naked time during this seven day event.

Where do most attendees come from?

This is going to be a truly international group. Gay Naturists International host the worlds largest naked camp 90 minutes from NYC every August, and we have a large contingent of international nudies. Many will have joined us at Naked Camp before. Some will be completely new. We will have men from the US, Australia, Canada, UK, Germany, New Zealand, Singapore, the Philippines, and other locations.

What sort of entertainment will be provided at the Naked Beach event?

There will be a few types of entertainment. Turtle Cove Resort in Cairns Australia is nestled in one of the most beautiful, breathtaking, and exotic places on earth.

We’ve put together a number of once-in-a-lifetime excursions to fully experience this amazing location. The main excursions are to the spectacular Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. This will be an opportunity to conveniently see and experience these natural wonders with a group for a cost that wouldn’t be possible alone. Other excursions are also available.

There will also be numerous daily activities that take advantage of the freedom of a private naked beach – entertainment, massage exchanges, body painting, socials, evening beach dance parties, dining, barbecues, and just hanging out naked at the pool and beach with your toes in the water or sand. It’s all good.

After Turtle Cove, there will be a journey to Sydney for the world-renowned, one of a kind, Sydney Mardi Gras. There will also be a kayaking paddle around Syndey harbour, and a naked barbecue at a private residence.

Local nudists will make the journey warm, friendly, and embracing. A remote private beach will provide intimacy. Never to be experienced anywhere else natural wonders will add magic. Plus the amazing city life excitement of Sydney and the Mardi Gras will make this an adventure not to miss.

What sort of guys go to an event like Naked Beach?

The guys who go aren’t afraid to step out of their comfort zone and clothes for a unique experience.

There are single guys, couples, couples who are possibly looking to find a safe and enticing location to open their relationships up to others, and monogamous couples who want to be surrounded by a stimulating naked environment.

It will be all ages from hot young guys to daddies, and all body types from those who visit the gym daily to those who couldn’t be bothered. The common element between all of these men is that everyone is nice. Nudity doesn’t just remove clothes and leave them behind, it also removes attitude. It’s a clothing-free, attitude-free zone in paradise.

How sexual is an event like Naked Beach – is everyone there to just hook-up?

Guys frequently ask what goes on sexually.

This environment is all male, social, naked, and sensual, so it’s not a prudish backdrop. But sex isn’t expected or mandatory. Sex out in the more public places is discouraged, but it’s a big private open beach.

If I’d never been to a naked gay event like this before, do you have any advice or guidance?

If you had never been to a naked event, this would offer a place to get naked in a relaxed environment and ease into nakedness and awareness of the sensuality trapped within your clothes.

I think there are a lot of guys who feel more comfortable getting naked in a private remote area away from home. The remoteness makes it easy to forget your ‘regular’ life and take a naked walk along the beach with someone you care about or have just met.

What happens at the beach, stays at the beach.

  1. Hey Gareth, thanks for bringing this to our attention – sounds like a just about perfect experience.
I realize this is about letting Daily Squirt guys know about something they may not otherwise hear about and that it is, in all likelihood, put together alongside GNI to present their event in the “best possible” light. There’s nothing wrong with that per say. Business is business. And PR and marketing are about more than just providing information.
There was a post about an event late last year that solicited a comment (apologies, can’t recall who it was) about the inconsistency between the diversity message in the words vs the message being conveyed by the pics. And I seem to recall you responding in the best possible PR speak (that wasn’t sarcasm, just a statement, unless you, Gareth, regard PR as a bad thing).
Seems like the same situation here. The only concession I can see here is that there may be pics of guys closer to or north of 30. And I’m going to assume that’s because there was an acknowledgement that guys from Europe and the Western Hemisphere who could afford to attend this will not, in the majority, be 20 years old.
Would marketing that included guys north of 40 without gym bodies (maybe because they’ve been spending more time working to have the disposable income something like this requires) really and truly kill the event? Or, maybe make a wider cross section of potential attendees more comfortable about committing to go? And ultimately produce a more successful and profitable event. As a businessman I would think I would prefer an event with 150 happy paying attendees vs 50 of the “right kind” of guys – whether “right kind” means guys that look like this or guys that like to think they do, or at least prefer to be surrounded by guys that look like this.
    Some respectful feedback.

    • You might be referring to a comment that I’d made (partially in seriousness, partially as snark) and that comment came back to mind when I started looking over this posting. I will note, however, this post does actually show a fairly “regular” guy–the 7th pic, with the two guys at the pool; the guy in the pool looks a little less than “model-perfect” even if he doesn’t really qualify as an “older” guy (I’d peg him as being in his 30s but he looks like he’s sporting a bit of a belly, especially compared to his tanned buddy in the blue shorts). But, yeah, the “diversity” angle that the event promoter discusses seems to be severely lacking when it comes to the visual presentation.

      • Hi joeynmtgy8, thanks for your feedback. I can’t really even take any credit for the regular guy in the 7th pic – as I explained in my reply to hrychstlvr69, for this article I was working with the images provided by GNI and Turtle Cove.

    • Hi hrychstlvr69, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I don’t disagree with anything that you’re saying. The limitation that I had with this one was that the images available were provided by GNI and Turtle Cove. I chose where to put them, but I’m using the images that those two organisations use to project their image. I’ll continue to try and include a broad range of guys in future articles. Appreciate your feedback.

    • Good spot aagold76! That image was included in a set of images provided to us by the organisations who are organising the event. It may not be geographically accurate, but definitely gets me in the mood to visit a beach.

  2. I wonder if they’d be happy with a 55 yr old white (no tan) guy with grey hair and a pot belly. I wonder if this would fit in with walking around naked. Do you think I might get attitude from the younger guys??

    • It’s a naturist event, so they should be happy with you. In fact that’s mentioned pretty clearly and actually very well stated. And “the common element is that everybody is nice”.
Just to be clear: I did say right off that the event sounded great, not only in itself but also with it leading into the Mardi Gras.

    • Hi needmen, thanks for taking the time to post a comment. I just wanted to clarify for everyone that this isn’t a sponsored post or a commercial placement. I reached out to ask GNI about the event as we’re keen to include a bit more travel-related content on Daily Squirt. This kind of event is the kind of thing that I’d be interested in attending, and I thought that Squirt.org members and readers of Daily Squirt would be interested in hearing about it. If we do include any sponsored content, we’ll ensure that it’s clearly labelled so that there’s no confusion.

  3. Don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but this looks like an expensive nothing-burger to me. Birdie beach is probably better, and free, and much closer.

    • Hi slurpy1, thanks for your feedback. I’ve never been to Birdie Beach. What’s it like? Your point about Birdie Beach being “much closer” made me laugh – I think it depends on your point of reference! I’m in London, so both Turtle Cove and Birdie Beach are a fair distance from me. But you’re right, for readers in Sydney – Birdie Beach would be closer than Turtle Cove. I’ll add Birdie Beach to my wish-list for my next visit to Australia!
