Logan Moore is here to entertain and educate

Logan Moore is a big name in the world of gay porn. Known as a dancer, and for having the eyes of a cover model, Logan has shown his versatility across studio productions, fan-subscription platforms, as well as a strong social media game.

I caught up with Logan for a behind-the-scenes look at his life and career. We talked inspirations, underwear, and global warming.

Did you expect that winning the title of Mr Gay Netherlands would lead to a career in porn?

No, not at all – I also don’t think that these two things are actually connected!

I’ve always pursued a career in entertainment – after school, I was working as an actor, dancer, and model. I’d never really thought about working in porn.

Porn came as a surprise – almost as a bit of a joke. But, with the right mindset, I’ve been able to turn it into a career. It’s opened more doors than I would otherwise have had access to.

Are there any other famous gay porn stars from the Netherlands?

Unfortunately not. There have been a few guys who have tried to have a career in porn and shot some awesome movies, and we’ve had a few stars living in my country for a while, but that’s it.

That’s why it still surprises me that I was able to become so big in this industry – I’m just a simple Dutch guy from the south.

I didn’t really have any porn heroes when I was growing up, but once I started to focus on it, I knew who I wanted to work with. I wanted to build my career to become someone as big as François Sagat or Landon Conrad.

I still haven’t worked with either of those guys – I’ve met them, but haven’t worked with them. Hopefully one day.

Would you describe yourself as an exhibitionist?

Not at all. I’m an entertainer, for sure – as a dancer, comedian, actor, host, or sex performer.

The sex part is the most challenging one, but I’m working to overcome my shyness. With every sex show, I’m nervous as fuck until I’m on the stage. Once I’m on the stage, everything changes 100 percent, and I enjoy every moment of it.

Working in porn has helped me to believe more in my skills. It’s helped me to realise that if I can do this, I can do anything.

It’s an important message that I’m always trying to communicate to my fans – believe in yourself. You can literally do anything as long as you believe in it – and work hard, of course.

Climate change is one of the issues that you’re passionate about. Do your fans respond positively when you talk about issues such as climate change, or would they prefer you just to get naked?

I think they would probably love to see me doing everything naked.

I hope I inspire people to take some action about this issue – in about 10 years there won’t be any way back.

I live in one of the best countries in the world. While we have made some big mistakes here in the Netherlands, we are world leaders when it comes to making the planet a better place. Our streets are very clean, we keep our buildings looking like new, and we ride bicycles instead of driving.

We’re cleaning out the oceans, and we teach other countries how to deal with floods and water. We’ve reduced speed limits to minimise carbon emissions, and we have a goal to stop using gas in our homes.

The Netherlands is so small – I sometimes wonder what sort of change we can make when compared to all of the bigger countries. But somebody needs to be the first, right?

I don’t understand people who focus on economic arguments against taking action to protect the environment. If you care more about making money than climate change, what do you think is going to happen in ten years when everyone’s way of life will be impacted by climate change. Will people want to shop for new clothes or go on luxury vacations? No, we’ll all be sick and stuck indoors. We need to act now.

I work in the porn industry, but I still see myself as a role-model. That’s why I speak up about things when I think that it’s necessary.

Can we talk underwear?

I wear all kinds – it really depends on the situation. Briefs is my daily thing. In the gym I wear leggings. I wear a jockstrap when I want sex. At night I wear boxers. When I’m dancing, I wear a thong – I need to protect my goods from drunk customers who try and pull down what I’m wearing.

What are some of your goals and aspirations for the months ahead?

At the end of December, my parents will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. I’m spending a fair bit of time organising that.

In terms of porn, things are slow in Europe at the moment – there’s not a lot of production happening with the studios – so I’m focusing on my other entertainment jobs.

I’m trying to rebuild my Instagram – I got hacked recently and lost all my followers.
