I caught up with Brandon Karson for a behind-the-scenes look at his online life.

The origin story

“I fought the urge to do it for a while…” explains Brandon, when I ask what led him to explore a career in the world of adult entertainment.

“While I was acting on the set of About Him, I got a lot of opportunities – but I declined them because I was such a prude.”

“Oddly enough, I hated my sexual energy – I didn’t know how to exude it. So, I joined OnlyFans. Then, I started selling underwear online. Once that happened, it opened not just my eyes, but my ears.”

“Now, I see myself as an entertainer and a voice for the voiceless. I wanted to create a platform where everyone felt safe to speak – to talk about their experiences that they’ve had in love and during sex.”

“That’s when I got a call from Noir Male. The rest is history.”

Brand Ambassador

“I’m excited about every last one of them…” says Brandon, when I ask which of the Noir Male men he’s keen to work with. Brandon has recently been announced a brand ambassador for the studio.

“They’ve all shaped my sexual desires in some way. I’m just super-happy to meet them all, and to get to know them all.”

The underwear

“I wanted to feel sexier…” says Brandon, when I ask him what led to the launch of Karson + Ko – his underwear brand.

“A lot of men out there want to feel sexier, they just don’t know how to express that without diminishing their perception of their masculinity.”

“No man wants to talk about how he doesn’t feel ‘sexy’ – I wanted to break the stigma.”

“We should all be allowed to feel sexy – it starts under your clothes. It really does.”

“Day-to-day, I’m most definitely a bikini-brief kind of guy. “In the gym, I only wear thongs or jockstraps – they make me feel sexy as hell during my workout.”

“I love to see another man in a jockstrap, or lace. There’s something about a man in lace that just takes my breath away.”

The business of adult entertainment

“It’s a love-hate relationship, honestly…” says Brandon, when I ask how he feels about the entrepreneurial side of the business of gay porn.

“It’s great to be able to connect with everyone, but the down-side is, it doesn’t stop. You’re constantly submerging yourself in social media, emails, and content curation. It can be a lot.”

Planning ahead

I asked Brandon what was on his agenda for the months ahead.

“Well, I have my own IG Live Series – In Bed with Brandon Karson – where we talk about love and love-making…” replies Brandon. “I want to see that go even bigger and better.”

“The goal with that entity is to turn it into a late-night talk-show – think Howard Stern meets Andy Cohen.”

“I’m also working with Noir Male. I’m loving everything about this ambassador opportunity, and I only hope that this is a lifelong connection.”

“Plus, I’m doing more writing nowadays, so I’m excited to release my very own projects into the world.”
