    • Hi hj, appreciate you reading the article and sharing your thoughts but I’m concerned that you’re publicly sharing a negative perception about someone’s penis. All guys are born with a foreskin. Some parents – for religious or other reasons – choose to circumcise their sons. It’s not something that the children involved have any say over. There’s no health benefits to circumcision. Beyond religious requirements, it’s a declining trend. There’s nothing repulsive about a foreskin, it’s how a penis is supposed to look. If the sight of an uncircumcised penis causes you to feel a certain way, you might want to reflect on why you have that perception. Please don’t project your body issues onto others. Gareth.

    • Hi blacktshirt, thanks for reading the article and sharing your thoughts. Obviously, we all like different things and what I find attractive will no doubt be different from what other people find attractive. I’m totally cool with you expressing whether or not you find someone attractive, although it’s a bit unfair when it’s a one-way conversation – you’re not giving Cory the option to share his opinion about your appearance. What alarms me a bit though is the use of the term “pansy-like”. It’s loaded with assumptions about the superiority of being “masc” or “straight-acting”. That kind of language can be really harmful – particularly to younger guys who are still figuring out who they are – and can contribute to internalised homophobia. Try and find some other words to describe what you find attractive. Gareth.

  1. Gareth, thanks for the insightful words and hopefully when people read your comments they’ll recognize the opportunity to consider the bankrupt superficiality of labeling anyone within society. There’s all makes, models, shapes, sizes and colors. Societal pressure is enough to deal with let alone having hurtful labels thrown at you from the culture you aspire to become an accepted part of. (sorry to end the sentence on a preposition) Reworded: ..you aspire to become an accepted part of, bitch.
