Why is it some posts we can’t comment anymore? I mean the whole idea of this area is to comment. Years ago it was way more tense here and commenting was never disabled. My plausible guess? The negativity, the nastiness, and the unwarranted attacks on the personal attributes of the models / performers. It’s not unimaginable that a Model of the Day will know or quickly find out that they’ve been featured and check out the post. Must be pretty sobering / unpleasant for some of them. Who needs that? I guess, to me, the companion question to that is: Who need to do that to another person?
There was a post I recall in the past 6 months, maybe older, where the individual featured was actually posting responses. It was…. can’t think of the appropriate word…., but I completely got both sides — if you’re going to put pics of yourself out there, expect a response (actually, I’m assuming you’re doing it to get a response); but also the responses needn’t be so mean, so negative, so personal.
I don’t know how many times I’ve read on here “if don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything”. But more than a few guys on here are just plain nasty and or ignorant when the mood strikes them. I wonder what they’d be like in person (in a bar, club, walking down the street, etc). I’ve always thought there was a fair bit of the “hiding behind a computer screen” and anonymity things going on here.
Re SicilianMikey’s other comments: two categories with posting disabled isn’t going to have a significant impact on your ability to connect with or chat up other guys; and if “years ago it was way more tense on here” and now you perceive it to be less so… well that’s good in my opinion, but LESS nasty/negative/personal/tense doesn’t mean that it isn’t STILL nasty/negative/personal on an UNNECESSARY level.
For me, these days if it’s a guy/man who doesn’t do much for me, I might say kindly pass or I won’t comment at all. Fisting, I’m going to almost always react. It’s a massive turnoff for me. Being honest, I don’t have time to go back and forth here. Add to that, it ran its course pre pandemic. I can keep it going for days on end, if I wanted.
