DeAngelo Jackson is a performer signed to an exclusive contract with porn studio Noir Male.
A self-described ‘Army brat’, Jackson was born and raised in Germany – making the move to live in the US when he was 21. He’s made his home in Atlanta.
“I moved to Atlanta to become a police officer…” explains Jackson. “Destiny has led me in a very different direction, as you can see.”
The origin story
“I got my start in the industry with the studio Flavaworks…” says Jackson, talking about the beginnings of his career. “That was in the Fall of 2008.”
“I’d been thinking of getting into the industry, ever since the age of 19. I’d always been open with my body. My body was decent at the time – looking at the other models, I thought I’d make a good fit.”
“I’m not a massive exhibitionist. On a scale of 1-10, I’d describe myself as a six.”
“I didn’t reach out to any companies until I went to college and needed the extra cash. I really knew very little about the industry, or what it takes to be a porn star.”
Career advice
“I never suggest anyone get into porn…” says Jackson, when I ask him if he had any advice or guidance for guys thinking about giving porn a try. “This business can eat you up and spit you out.”
“It’s rare for anyone to last more than a year. It’s not for everyone – this is an industry that can destroy you if you aren’t ready for it. Once you start, there’s no going back – you have to be 100 percent sure that it’s what you want.”
Joining forces with Noir Male
“I’ve been working with Noir Male since the launch of the studio…” confirms Jackson, as we talk about this current chapter of his career.
“I think Noir Male is having a positive impact as far as how men of color are represented on film. It’s still a very young company, so improvements are always being made – feedback from fans is taken seriously.”
“Racism is still an issue in our society, so it’s no surprise that it’s also an issue in porn. Black men are still widely viewed as hyper-sexual, aggressive thugs, with big black cocks. That’s changing, but only slowly. I’d like to think that I’m helping to change some people’s view of gay black porn stars.”
“I love being a part of a studio that’s providing hot, fresh, and sexy content.”
Life beyond porn
“I’d honestly like to do some mainstream modelling…” says Jackson, talking about how he hopes that his contract with Noir Male will help him expand his career. “I’d also like to try my hand at acting – in something outside of the porn industry.”
“I saw an interview with Class Comics where they said that I’d be perfect to play the role of Space Cadet. I’d love the challenge of taking on a character like that. It would also give me an excuse to go blond again.”
