Hi! I’m Dallas Knoxxx, your go-to-gay for all things wild and straight-up real. I’m 27, reside in West Hollywood, and get to live out my sexual fantasies every day. I’ve starred in a studio scene (go check it out) and have an OnlyFans (I’m also on Twitter!) I’m constantly posting and spending nights cruising and hooking up in the city of angels.
As a horny gay OnlyFans creator that is constantly getting railed as much as I am, you know that lube is so important to have during sex.
If you’re new to the scene or just have little knowledge of the world of lube, or have only really relied on spit and courage to get you through the more enormous dicks, hopefully, this will help you navigate your slippery hole.
Why is there confusion about gay sex lube and the best picks?
The reason why shopping for lube may be so confusing comes down to the fact there are so many brands, and it’s not really a conversation you can have with your barber (maybe you can?) on which lube gives you the most comfort and ease during hard gay bareback sex.
From silicon to water-based lube to gay fisting lube to ones that are perfect for gay sex toy fun.
There are countless brands of lube that are in the market right now, but what do most gay men go for? It all depends on what you might be using this for. Are you going to be getting fucked by your neighbor’s twelve-inch dick? Using some gay sex toys? Getting fisted hard and ensuring no ouchies later? We’ll get into it all and your needs in the bedroom. First, we have some ground to cover.
More about types of lube: what’s the difference between water-based, silicon and oil?
Lube can come in many different varieties, mainly water-based, silicone, oil, or powder.
If you’re going the water-based route, clean-up should be a breeze. Water-based is great for penetration, making sliding in and out effortless.
If you’re feeling more silicone, you might be scrubbing with soap and water for a while to remove it all, as it is known to stain the sheets, so avoid those high thread count Frette linens if you’re going to get nasty with a hot guy and some silicon lube. However, silicone is a great lube to use for toys or larger cocks and tends not to dry out as quickly as water-based; but be warned, silicone lube tends to stain sheets and clothing almost instantaneously.
Powdered lube tends to be for the committed pigs who need an hour-long steady rhythm. Powdered lube is great because you can control how much you want to make at a time, making traveling easy. Powder lube is amazing for gay fisting for hours and taking massive toys… which I’m starting to get used to.
Cleanup might be a bit more tricky because this lube gets sticky, so invest in a nice scrubber when you are in a rush to get it all off.
Now that we got most of that out of the way let’s see what lube would work best for that fat cock or tight hole!
In no particular order, starting out strong is…
Swiss Navy
Swiss Navy is one of those brands that you’ve definitely seen around before, whether you know it or not. Swiss Navy comes in tons of different varieties and price points, meaning they cater to all lube needs. (They even sell a gallon bottle, as you see above!) This brand also has any type of lube you need but mainly specializes in water-based and silicone lube. This is not the most affordable option on our list, but definitely a great option for your first bottle.
Boy Butter
Boy Butter is one of those brands you’ve always wanted to try but never got around to. I’m here to tell you–you definitely should. I gave this a go a couple of months ago and was pleasantly surprised! Specializing in either water-based or oil-based lubes, this glide will feel extremely natural and gripping. Be aware, though, because oil-based lube will not come out of fabrics unless you’re quick with that Tide To-Go stick. Boy butter looks and feels a lot like body lotion and really delivers in the butter category.
X Lube
Don’t let the gooey goodness of the clear liquid above fool you; this German lube is a powdered lube that dissolves easily in water, producing a clear gel.
X Lube is crystal clear and free of any odors or tastes, so you can get as close to the action as you want… meaning you can rim while it’s on, and you don’t have to worry about that “tacky” chemical taste in your mouth. I always hate when you have to time the lube action to the fellatio and tongue portion of the program so you get the hot man taste without any of the lube taste.
Sign me up! It’s easy to mix, easy to clean, and very economical—one bottle makes 20+ litres, so you know it’s a cheap, cheerful and horny option for those who get it on aplenty.
How do I mix a powdered lube for gay fisting play?
For those who are new to the experience of powdered lube, don’t get uptight; here’s all you need to know to make it happen and how I mix my powdered lube for a brand like X Lube, for example.
- Add one cap full of powder to 500 mL of water in a sports bottle.
- Shake the bottle vigorously for ten seconds. It helps to use your hand to cover the opening of the bottle, or the powder could become lodged in the nozzle.
- Cap the bottle and wait ten minutes.
- Shake the bottle for twenty more seconds and leave the cap on.
- Wait twenty more minutes for the lube to develop into a good consistency.
For best results, prepare one to two hours before play. Do not blend your lube in a blender due to breaking down the lube.
J Lube
J Lube is very similar to X Lube but can be a little bit more affordable. Powdered lubes can take a little while to get the right blend, but once you’ve practiced and figured out your perfect recipe, you can just about shove anything you want inside you.
If you’re using powdered lube, a squeeze bottle or plastic travel water bottle is a good thing to have on hand. You’ll need something to house all the lube you just made, and something with a nozzle at the top works wonders.
Gun Oil
Gun Oil is also one of those brands that you’ve seen before at your local gay bookstore or video arcade in the front but never got around to seeing what all the hype is about. Gun oil mainly comes in a silicone version, so this lube is great for jerking off or getting fucked by someone off of Squirt!
I want to know which lubes you prefer! Are you more of a water-based or silicone type of girl? Everyone’s preferences are different! Do you really want to use spit for the rest of your life?

Excellent article! My go to lube is almost always Swiss Navy water based. On occasion I do use Boy Butter water based.
I only use water based as it is clean & easy. Easy on, easy off. I will allow oil based on occasion. I never use silicone based as it damages the anal lips, sometimes permanently.
Of course the fact that my cunt is bored out like a Chevy engine, dictates that I don’t need a lot of lube. Cheers! 💋
